Socioeconomic Research Division conducts principally research and
study of measuring economic benefits of building and expanding social
capital, including transport facilities, at a national, regional, or
urban level.
Furthermore, the Division also prepares forecasts for transport demand
required for the measurement of economic effects and formulation of policies
and designs research method for gathering related data. It conducts research
and study activities on funds and systems required for building and expanding
transport facilities as well.
Empirical studies are conducted by means of economics and statistical
methods, using socioeconomic and traffic data. The results are used for
the formation of various national and regional policies
